Staff Club

The staff club was formed on 21st of October 2023 for the session 2023-2024 in the Teachers’ Council meeting. The club basically endeavours to recharge and engage the faculty through different activity oriented programmes to foster togetherness among the faculty. The club was envisioned to encourage a healthy and positive interaction among the faculty members by creating a conducive working atmosphere through employee engagement and motivation. The Staff Club of the college was created and is funded and run by the teaching staff of the college. The Club arranges social get togethers, farewell programs to teachers who retire from service, teachers who are transferred or leave the institution for better opportunities. The Club also eagerly welcomes the new members who come to the institution. Fostering balance in work life is a vital outcome of the staff club in the college.

The club is committed to enhance the amicable environment in the college and enhance productivity through various recreational activities as follows:

Organizing farewell programmes.
Welcoming new faculties.
Arranging social get-togethers like picnics and tea parties.

To break the monotony the club intends to keep faculty engagement programs like poetry recitation, field trips etc as a future event.

Activities Undertaken:

A farewell program of Dr. Willie Henry, HOD Department of Zoology, Dr. Sachina Yonzone, Department of Botany, Dr. Passang D. Sherpa, Department of Botany and Dr. Dipen Tamang, Department of Nepali was held on 20th December, 2023 at Central seminar hall. The Staff Club along with all the teaching faculty wished them the best as they embarked on new chapters of their lives and thanked them for all their hard work and dedication that they had given to the institution.
A Staff Club picnic was organised on 16th March 2023 on the college ground. The participation of family members was a key highlight of this program.
The club welcomed new faculty Dr. Patha Ganguly, Associate Professor as HOD, Department of English.
Prof Subhajit Sammadar, Assistant Professor Department of Commerce was also welcomed.
